Unfortunately, no. While we have clear windows for recruiting (see next question), sometimes the departments might choose to start recruiting at other times
There are two windows, the first one in September and another one around March. During the second window not every department might be looking for new members
No. We welcome everybody from any faculty
Each department is looking for different skills. While we can't tell you exactly what to study for, looking for the requirements at the bottom of the page of each department should give you a guideline. Do not worry; drive and interest, at times, are even more important than past skills. Even if you feel like your skills are not enough, you might still want to give it a try
Yes. You must be an enrolled student at Politecnico di Milano. Aside from that, each department has different requirements (see the previous question), but those are not strict ones.
The entrance test is different for each department. It typically includes a written test and an oral evaluation
This is mostly up to you. However, depending on the department, we might expect a commitment of at least 6-8 hours a week
Yes. In September, we travel to Roccaraso (AQ) in order to test our rocket (and make it fly). Participation is not mandatory, but it's a nice experience. We also sometimes organize smaller trips for some tests
Right now, We have 7 departments : Aerodynamics, Avionics, Media, Logistics, Propulsion, Recovery, and Structure, which are set up in IPTs (integrated project teams). These are the teams that carry out the practical and technical work. Our list of "departments" on this website is acutally referring to the IPTs
